The LRP Alliance exists to help live roleplaying clubs and businesses put on events that are safe and suitably insured. We provide a detailed health and safety management plan that was created by live roleplayers for use at events of any size.
You can apply for membership for:
Every club that joins the Alliance and follows the guidance is covered by our public and employee liability insurance policy. By becoming a member and adopting our health and safety plan, you get peace of mind knowing that you've done everything you need to do for your event to be properly insured.
Membership runs from the time of application up to the 31st July of each year. The price of membership is based on the size and number of events that you plan to run in that time.
To work out how much membership will cost you, choose the smallest category for which you fit for both the number of events you run and the numeber of attendees (including the crew). E.g. if you run two events each year, one with 60 attendees and one with 80 attendees then you are classed as medium.
To become a member of the Alliance you need to download the application form, fill it in and then email it to us. You also need to ensure that you follow the safety guidelines provided and complete appropriate risk assessments for every event if you want to be covered by our insurance policy.
Email is the best way to contact us - you can send your completed form to info@lrpalliance.co.uk or get in touch if you have any queries at all or you want to get a price for a one-off event or for a large event.
We operate from the Profound Decisions office, so you can call us on 0845 0944 798 during office hours (just ask for the LRP Alliance!) or you can post a form to the LRP Alliance c/o Profound Decisions, P.O. Box 666, Preston, PR2 1ZW.
By joining the LRP Alliance you gain protection under the umbrella insurance policy. This provides £10 million worth of employer liability and £5 million of public liability.
No - our policy is liability insurance only - it providers insurance if you are liable for a claim when running an event. If you or your members need accident insurance then you will need to arrange that separately.
You receive a copy of the policy and a certificate from the LRP Alliance stating that you are a member and are covered by our liability insurance.
We can sort membership out the same day we receive your payment, but it's best to call us if you've got an event coming up imminently so we can make sure you have everything in time.
Yes, many of our members only run a single event each year. The LRP Alliance is open to everyone involved in the hobby.
Get in touch with us and we will tell you what to do next.
No. The LRP Alliance is an umbrella group operating LRP events to a common health and safety plan. We have a single insurance policy that covers all the events run by our members. We cannot give you advice on what insurance is best for you personally, for that you need to contact an accredited insurance broker.
